40 Days of Fasting: Wed March 12 thru Easter Sunday
On Sunday 3/9, Pastor Phil presented a challenge of a 40 day fast which will begin on March 12 and end on Easter Sunday (April 20)! Your personal/private fast can be anything that will require a sacrifice in some way...   You may want to consider giving up sweets, drinks, coffee, etc - OR, you may want to ADD something during this time, such as forty days of exercise, etc...

The focus points of the fast are as follows:

  • To reflect on the price that Jesus, the Son of God paid to redeem you and I on Calvary's cross... During the forty days read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John's accounts of Jesus final week as they provide different insight to the event...
    (Matthew 26:1-Matt 28:20, Mark 11:1-Mark 16:20, Luke 19:28-Luke 24:53, John 12-12-John 21-25)
  • Application: As a result of all that He was willing do that none should perish, how we should LIVE our lives NOW?!?
  • Throughout the forty days pray for our nation and its leaders as we are challenged on every front to abandon Biblical principles.
  • Pray for unsaved family, friends and co-workers....Pray for open doors to share with the gospel with them.
  • Finally pray for our church fellowship and one another.
